Medus Pure Honey , A product of Hill Tree comes from hives of Apis dorsata found in remote forests of western ghats, Karnataka. Since the bees are far from agriculture, the forage is all wildflower. Our honey is pure and natural, no added preservatives. Honey is a healthier alternative to sugar. The colour of our honey depends on its floral source because of minerals and some other components. However, honey colour can change with time and exposure to heat. We would like to share some tricks that can be carried out at home to find the purity of our natural honey. 1)Human Thumb Test: Put a Tiny drop of the honey on your thumb to check whether the honey drop spills or spreads out instantly. If its spreads out its surely not a pure honey. Natural honey wont spill or spread due to its viscosity. 2)Water test: Fill a glass with the water and add one full table spoon of natural honey. If the honey is made of Sugar syrup or artificial sweetener, it will dissolve in an instant. Natural honey wont mix with water without some external mixing force . 3)Flame Test: Natural honey contain wax and other no toxic chemical substance that will make it flammable when contact with open flame. If the honey contain water or sugar it wont be flammable. You can dip the match head and strike it to carry out flame test. Wet match stick wont burn. 4)Tissue paper test: Put a drop of honey in tissue paper and wait for few minutes. Due to capillary action the water content present in honey will be spread out and the natural honey contains 0% of water.
